Angeles City has over 100 hotels ranging in cost from $15 up. Budget hotels can be found in the $15 to $40 range. Some of these budget hotels are pretty sparse, but most are clean and service is usually good. You can find very well appointed full service rooms in the $50 to $100 range. Most of these have on site 24 hour a day restaurants and swimming pools. There are a few “luxury” hotels with suites over $100 per night and one hotel offers a $1,000 per night 4 bedroom penthouse, if you have plenty of money and nothing better to do with it. When I am in town, I usually stay at the Lewis Grand, quality in town for my money. A Deluxe King room at the Lewis Grand compares with or exceeds rooms starting at over $100 at other “premium” hotels.
There are plenty of hotels to suit any taste and budget. The table below, a work in progress, provides a comparison of Angeles City hotels sorted by cost. For our purposes we categorize hotels as Premium ($50 US Dollars and up), Mid-Range ($35 to $100) and Budget (Under $35). Most hotels have telephone, television, refrigerators and other common amenities. The table below provides an overview of the amenities offered at various Angeles hotels. While every traveler will have their own idea of what is important, I look for a swimming pool, large, bright and airy rooms, modern clean bathrooms, large flat screen (LCD) TVs, in-room Internet, 24 hour room service and convenient transportation. Most of the better hotels offer free transportation to and from the major shopping and entertainment areas. Hotels in the entertainment district may not, but jeepneys and trikes are cheap. I like a hotel that takes me where I want to go, when I am ready at no extra cost.
