Angeles City, Philippines is a true Asian Pacific adult playground. The Philippines has much to offer as a tropical vacation destination for a bachelor, or wanna be bachelor, needing some R&R. The Philippines has something for all tastes: beaches, golf, historical sites, scuba diving, flying ultra lights, shopping and other leisure activities. For many years, Filipinos have been known for their musical talent. The US Military exported Filipino bands to US bases for their clubs. Later, other Asian, European and Middle Eastern countries contracted Filipino bands for clubs, hotels and other venues. Filipino musicians are extremely talented and known for their own compositions. Today, you will find many clubs with Filipino bands playing the best rock-and-roll, country and pop music you will hear anywhere.
My interests primarily lie in the rock-and-roll and country music clubs, the go-go bars and the exceptionally beautiful women who are virtually everywhere in the Philippines. If you have never been to the Philippines, you wouldn’t believe how many beautiful and available girls are just waiting to meet and entertain you. Some girls work in bars, some work in stores or restaurants and some are going to school. What they all share in common is that they are friendly, outgoing, fun loving and love to meet and enjoy life with guys like us. The capital city, Manila, is a large city of over 2 million people with thousands of restaurants, bars and hotels. Manila is large, crowded, noisy and dirty. I prefer Angeles City, next to the old Clark US Air Force Base. Smaller, cheaper, nice hotels, geared more toward my interests. You can still play golf, ride horses, fly light aircraft, but I prefer hitting the bars and lounging around the pool with a lovely tan Filipina by my side.

Bars are everywhere in Angeles City. Walking street, in Balibago outside the main gate of the old Clark US Air Base, is blocked off to vehicles at night and lined with go-go bars, restaurants and hotels on both sides. Bars, restaurants and hotels dot front street that extends a couple miles beyond the Clark main gate and many other side and back streets. There are a number of live music theme clubs with live bands where you can’t tell the music from the original recording. My favorite venues are the many go-go bars that line walking street 
and are all over Balibago. One of my old favorite bars is Tropix, where these pictures were taken, Tropix is one bar in a group that includes the 24 hour Dollhouse, Atlantis, Crystal Palace and Ponytails. All these bars are filled with hot beauties in tiny t-backs. How I have missed them since Covid cippled my ability to travel. I can’t begin to list all the bars, but you can find a good list at the Angeles City Bars website. Travel to Angeles is currently restricted due to covid. Rock out at the Grand Ole Opry
For some of the best live Country Western and old time Rock and Roll music west of San Francisco, be sure to check out the Grand Old Opry club located just off center of the entertainment center next to the Orchid Inn hotel. Chris, Ray, Dennis, Freddy and Beth play all of the old country favorites and blast out the best old time rock and roll you will hear in Angeles City. I was 
amazed when I heard Crosby, Stills and Nash’s “Teach Your Children”, complete with steel guitar, and one of my favorites, Tom Petty’s “Refugee”. The club is kind of small and tucked away just off the main drag, but the service is great, the music is exceptional and I never miss spending at least a couple of nights here when i town. If you are into disco, forget it, but for Rock and Roll and Country fans, the Grand Ole Opry is a must experience

Angeles City has over 100 hotels ranging in cost from $15 up with more popping up all the time. Budget hotels can be found in the $15 to $40 range. Fairly sparse conditions, but clean and in the right location. Very well appointed and full service rooms are available in the $50 to $100 range. 
There are a few “premium” hotels with suites over $100 per night and one hotel offers a $1,000 per night 4 bedroom penthouse, if you have plenty of money and nothing better to do with it. One of my favorite hotels is the Lewis Grand. Their executive room, less than $100 US, is large and exceptionally well appointed. The Lewis Grand has a great restaurant and room service and a balcony overlooking one of the best swimming pools in Angeles.
